Differences in France

· Their traffic lights are different than many other traffic lights. The poles that the traffic lights rest on are much taller and not as long across horizontally. In addition, the red light is much larger than the yellow and green lights.

· Like many other European countries, France has a bike lane on every street. However, in Le Havre,  they also have a lane designated for dogs! This city is very dog-friendly.

· Their seagulls are much larger than the seagulls back in the United States!
· Unlike many other European countries, cars will usually stop for pedestrians, even if they do not have to. They are very similar to the United States in regards to pedestrians having the right of way.
· Their beach consisted of large stones as opposed to just sand or small pebbles.
· Many stores were closed on Sunday, unlike the United States.
