Unveiling the Tablecloth

In Cape Town, there is a very famous mountain called Table Mountain. It is one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. Clouds will cover this mountain most days, and the clouds are called the “tablecloth” because they lay right on top of the mountains. On my second day in Cape Town, my roommate and I traveled to Table Mountain, and it was not cloudy. Although it looks very beautiful to be covered by the “tablecloth,” it was nice to be able to ride a cable car up the mountain  with a clear view.

From the top of the Table Mountain you get the breathtaking view of the entire city of Cape Town, as well as Lion’s Head, which is another very famous mountain. It got its name because if you look at the mountain top on the side, it looks like a lion is laying on his back, and the peak is his head. It was an amazing view that you just could not beat.
