My First Day in Cadiz

My first day in Cadiz was very rainy. My friends and I did not know much about it, so we decided to get a map so that we could have an idea of where to go for the day. We saw that the Cathedral was one of the largest attractions in the city, so we decided to try to find that first. Needless to say, it was not hard to find at all. The Cathedral was very large; you can see it towering over the other rooftops.

Once we got to the Cathedral, Alaine and Amy wanted to get breakfast. We ate at a small restaurant where they had ham and cheese sandwiches. After eating, we decided to follow the purple line around the city. Cadiz has several different painted lines around the city. Each colored line has its own themed tour around the city to show you different sites. We saw on the map that the purple line was the largest, so we chose that one. It was a great idea! The purple line took us all around the city. We saw many different plazas and parks. This particular plaza is across from the cruise ship docks. We also walked through the shopping district, which is a set of alleyways in the middle of town. If you didn't stumble into it, you wouldn't be able to find it because it is so hidden. They also have a central market, which is also located within the confines of several buildings.
