Elevator in Salvador, Brazil

This is a picture of the famous elevator in Salvador, Brazil. It was made in the 1800s to carry cargo to the upper city of Salvador. In 1922, the second tower was created, making it a passenger elevator. It is the cheapest and fastest way to get from the lower to the upper town.

On the other side of this view is an old town plaza.
