On my second day in Rio de Janeiro, I took the tram to see Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer). He is over 30 meters in height! At the base of the statue is a chapel, where you can go and pray if you so desire. The tram took around 20 minutes to get to the top of the mountain. Once you are at the top of Corcovado, you are able to see panorama views of the city, including views of Sugar Loaf Mountain.
